Mechanisms of NIMBY

A paranoid mind is an overstimulated mind and also an ungrounded one.

NIMBY can result from paranoia or something else equivalently.

An overstimulated mind with a grounded mind yields skepticism.

But an under-stimulated mind with a grounded mind yields indifference and ambivalence.

NIMBY is a pejorative acronym for those who resent and seek to prevent change or growth, possibly due to summary judgements of different others, or others’ differences. 

  

NIMBY is short for Not In My Back Yard, meaning one who makes warrants which support change, but wishes no personal risk norso even exposure to such; personally.
